ARTFULLY CRAFTED

Architect and Interior Design: Bodron/Fruit  |  Landscape Architects: Tary Arterburn and Amy Bartell of studioOutside  |  Photography: Manolo Langis

Intentionally designed to showcase the homeowners’ evolving collection of museum-quality art, this striking contemporary residence brings the art museum home. Framed in VMZINC metal edges, floor-to-ceiling Fleetwood windows welcome abundant natural light into the gallery-inspired living spaces that display modern art pieces by African American artists. The modern, clean lines of the white, museum-finish walls are complemented by rich texture, large format Gascogne Blue limestone flooring from Portugal, and bookmatched walnut throughout the home, including the slatted front door, floating stairwell and other interior accents. Beyond its modern aesthetics, geothermal heating and cooling systems were implemented, supplying environmentally friendly and renewable energy to the property. This visual masterpiece is the second home BufordHawthorne has built for this client in 13 years.
